Down-to-earth education is what My Green Garden is about. No longer being held at the home of My Green Garden, Maria instead takes her kit along to other places - and this could be your home. If you have a generously sized kitchen or space with access to power and water, it's all she needs to run a small group hands-on workshop for you and a group of friends or family. As well as learning valuable skills and knowledge you will get your share in all the goodies we make on the day, whether they be preserves, pasta, passata sauce, olives to cure and even seeds sown. Have a look at the workshops on offer. To get more detail about the workshops and pricing options, please contact Maria.

Feedback and testimonials from previous  group workshops held by My Green Garden

PRESERVING
"This class with Maria exceeded my expectations. The small size of the group was perfect to allow great group interaction both with the learning and practical aspects of the various tasks. Maria's teaching, science, chemistry and horticultural background were key aspects of the class that shone through from my perspective. Along with this, she enthused the group with her warmth, generosity and passionate belief in traditional, sustainable food preparation and preserving practices which allowed me to have the knowledge and confidence to get stuck into my own end of summer preserving spree at home!" Jane (Feb 2017)

"The workshop was excellent. It was full of practical advice and was centred around hands-on experience. In the introduction, Maria gauged our existing knowledge of preserving and then based her presentation on our prior knowledge. The small number meant that the learning was personalised. We were also taught how to adapt recipes. Maria answered all questions from participants and used these as teaching moments. Morning tea was spectacularly good, too!" Anthony (Oct 2017)

ARTISAN PASTA
"I have always wanted to learn how to make fresh pasta but I wanted to be involved and hands on and this class sounded perfect and I'm so glad I purchased a ticket to this class! Maria was very welcoming and a very relaxed teacher. From the real coffee machine coffee she makes you on arrival to the lunch at the end with a glass of wine, this was such a fun day. I highly recommend this class, Maria has thought of everything and you get notes to take home so you can enjoy the day without having to write anything down. So much pasta and knowledge to take home, you won't be disappointed, have already booked in for my next class with Maria- this time making fettuccine! Thank you Maria for opening your kitchen and passing on your knowledge :)" Belinda (August 2016)

"Another enjoyable class with Maria. She makes it look easy and achievable (and it was) and the end result...soooooo yum! Well worth the money". Dana (August 2016)

"Such a great class. Everyone understood the teacher, Maria was very informative, provided typed notes for every to take away. The class was very hands on and everyone created a variety of beautiful pasta and ravioli. The group enjoyed everyone's company and Maria went out of her way to create a friendly environment by providing cake and coffee. From a beginner or experienced person by the end of the class everyone was able to make their own pasta an take it home". Mary (April 2016)

"Delighted to have taken part in My Green Garden pasta making class! It was enjoyable, informative and delicious experience. Maria is genuine and generous in sharing her knowledge. Excellent value - for money and for soul!" Lilian (April 2016)
