My Green Garden

My Green Garden provides a local and experienced resource for talks, demonstrations and workshops on many aspects of sustainable gardening practices, especially in the area of growing food.

Maria of My Green Garden started as a presenter for Bulleen Art & Garden nursery and for the not-for-profit organisation, Sustainable Gardening Australia (SGA). Since 2009, My Green Garden has given  hundreds of presentations to both children and adults, through council-funded information sessions, schools, libraries, community groups, neighbourhood houses, garden clubs, at festivals, shopping centres and for holiday programs. 

My Green Garden was a finalist in the 2016 Manningham Business Excellence Awards.

My Green Garden holds regular small group and fully hands-on workshops on topics such as Growing Vegetables; Safe Preserving Techniques (using bottling, making jams, pickles and relishes); Preserving Seasonal Produce such as Olives;  Artisan Pasta making and other traditional Italian preserving methods, such as making Passata and Sausages and Salami. Many of these topics are seasonal, so if you missed out this year, please add your details to the watch list to be notified as soon as new dates are announced.
